It will cost a staggering £90,409, rivalling the likes of the Audi R8, Mercedes-Benz CL S63 AMG and the Jaguar XJ Supersport.
The GTS version is at the very top end of the scale, bettering the Panamera Turbo. Despite being a super fast car, it comes with four doors and is quite a practical saloon.
The GTS has a V8 engine installed making it an extremely powerful car. The car’s chassis has been adjusted so that the car is able to offer more agility on the road. Compared to the Porsche Panamera 4S, the car offers 30 BHP more.
Design wise we believe the GTS is nothing short of stunning. There are larger air intakes compared to the turbo. This not only helps the design of the car to look that bit more attractive but increases it’s performance somewhat. The spoiler is quite unique in the way that it splits. A sports exhaust enhances the performance and delivers a wonderful noise when driving at high revs. Extra valves were purposely installed onto the car to bring about a more aggressive sound to the car.
The handling of the car is quite superb. The adaptive air suspension along with Porsche’s Active Suspension Management helps to enhance that particular attribute.
Uncomfortable roads are driven across with ease with no bumps felt. The car sits 10mm lower than the standard Panamera.
Steering is accurate and responsive, with the car feeling like a smaller one at times.
Driving a car as fast as the Panamera GTS, you would expect the safety equipment to be top class. Porsche doesn’t let you down in that respect, offering eight airbags within.
As an optional extra, active anti roll bars are available. This is probably an option worth getting as the car is more stable around corners and bends. With many of the options being selected, it is more than likely that most Panamera GTS’s will be sold for more than £100,000. Would you expect any less?
We believe the Porsche Panamera GTS will be a success. Although it will be a rare sight on our roads, viewers are sure to stop, admire and remember the car.
