This particular model is a limited edition model. There will be just 500 models here in the UK. You may have worked that out from the humours advert which was recently released, which stated that 62,640,500 will miss out on the car, with Skoda apologising to that number.
The car will be made available in both hatchback and estate variants. There will be £1,905 worth of equipment given for free for the vehicle. That list of equipment includes 18 inch alloy wheels, a satellite navigation system, and a DAB radio, rear parking sensors, full black leather seats and more. There are three different colours that come with the car. Magic Black Pearl and Race Blue metallic cost an extra £460. Candy White does not come at an extra cost.
The engine is a 2.0 litre diesel, capable of reaching 168 BHP. From 0 – 60 MPH, the car hits a time of 8.1 seconds, producing 350Nm of torque. There is a choice of either a six speed manual or a DSG automatic gearbox. MPG values differ depending on these choices, going from between 47.1 MPG to 49.6 MPG.
As standard, the Skoda comes with a dual zone air conditioning module, a sporty steering wheel, LED day time running lights, sports front seats, red brake callipers, lowered suspension, twin exhaust pipes and a boot spoiler.
The Skoda vRS hatchback Blackline costs £21,260, the estate version will cost £22,300. The DSG automatic box costs £1,195 more. Given that there will be no VAT with these models; the Blackline will cost just £17,834.
The Volkswagen Golf GTD and the SEAT Leon FR come in being considered as quite close rivals. These vehicles come from the same Group and have the same platform.
The estate version is quite a unique vehicle. It has a great deal of style and doesn’t necessarily have a great deal of rivals to go against.
The Skoda vRS Blackline special edition looks like being quite a special vehicle. With just 500 released, those who want one better be quick.
