The Volkswagen Polo BlueGT is now available for order, with prices being announced back in October in 2012.  There has been much hype surrounding the vehicle, given the extra features that it now comes with.

The 1.4 litre four cylinder turbocharged engine will bring about a few surprises. Firstly it hits a total of 140 BHP and a maximum torque level 250Nm. From 0 – 62 MPH the car reaches a respectable.  It manages to hit a top speed of 130 MPH too (not that anyone would need to go that fast)

It’s very efficient too, reaching a fuel economy of 61.4 MPG along with a 109g/km of C02 rating. This vehicle is quite special, given the fact that it comes with ACT cylinder deactivation technology which helps keep fuel efficiency up.  Cylinder deactivation is fast becoming a trend within the motor industry. Previously it was only luxury vehicles which adopted the technology. It closes the cylinders which are not currently in use, which is determined by the speed, greatly helping to save energy. Deactivation of the cylinders occurs between 1,400 and 4,000 RPM. Rev the car up a bit; you’ll be able to get the most out of the engine and the rest of the cylinders.

On the outside, the car looks very stylish. The 17 inch alloy wheels come with a multi spoke design with GT badges placed on the front and rear. The suspension sits lower than the standard Polo, being lowered by 15mm. The vehicle comes with a rear spoiler, a rear bumper and a diffuser on top of LED daytime running lights. Those who like to modify their vehicle won’t feel the need to do so with the new Volkswagen Polo BlueGT. It has a very exclusive look about it.

The inside has a lot of the same features as the Polo GTI. The roof lining along with the instrument panel is exactly the same. The BlueGT sports seats makes the interior unique as does the leather trimmed sports steering wheel which has a BlueGT emblem embedded. The interior comes with iPod connectivity ability along with Bluetooth connectivity ability.

If you want a Volkswagen Polo BlueGT, it will cost £17,400, coming with a three door six speed manual gearbox. The five door seven speed DSG transmission will cost £19,365.
